And, to keep it looking “Scandi” fresh and clean, the wood is sealed inside and out with an extra tough clear varnish. Unlike an unsealed wooden box, it won’t pick up dirty fingerprints or mucky marks.

PERSONALISATION

Personalise your solid wood memory box with a person’s name, a quote, an important date or anything you want to say, of up to 20 characters per line. This will be mechanically carved (like engraving on steroids!) into the surface of the lid of the box. This creates a deep, V-profiled relief, which cannot be confused for more common laser engraving. Laser engraving burns away a shallow flat profile, it doesn’t offer the depth and visual impact of this more exceptional personalisation technique.

Your text can include letters, numbers and simple punctuation. Unfortunately, we cannot carve engrave emoticons, graphics or special symbols. We recommend you steer clear of using keystroke emojis/ symbols like <3 (for a heart) because they are never look like what they’re supposed to represent with this particular font.

DESCRIPTION

These wood memory boxes are produced in the UK from 9mm faced ply to the sides and 4mm to the lid and base surfaces.

The lid is hinged and we swapped out our usual catch for an antique finish horn clasp.

These boxes are “nude”, so the natural colour and patterns in the grain of the wood it’s made from will determine the exact look of your finished box. Rest assured, we select the best looking wood for these “naked” boxes and would never send out any box that didn’t turn out great.

UPGRADES

Got more to say than will fit on the lid of the box? No problem, we can engrave extra text on the underside of the box in a book style font that’s more legible at smaller sizes. Choose the upgrade for an extra 40 characters of engraving.

Want to deliver an extra “OMG” when they open your box? Then choose our lining upgrade at a small extra cost. We will hand make and fit a special coloured fabric lining pad into the base of the box for more wow factor.
