Keeping things simple on these personalised wooden boxes has made them really popular with customers. Based upon our timeless medium-sized (but large by most standards) wooden memory box, we just found a great font that really shows off our special carving-style engraving.

Then, to make it really sing, we opted to whiten the text. Painstakingly painting in the engraving by hand is worth the extra effort when you see the finished result.

Personalising this wooden box couldn’t be easier – just give us a name! This will be deeply engraved into the lid in this stylish handwriting font. It’s best to choose a single name for a more dramatic effect. Too much text can look busy. Plus, we have to shrink down the font size and that makes the personalisation less impactful.

This box offers personalised storage in abundance. It’s great for storing keepsakes, small collectibles, jewellery trays, make-up, art stuff and more.

PERSONALISATION

Personalise your keepsake wooden box with a name or text (up to 12 characters).

Your text can include letters, numbers and regular punctuation. Spaces and punctuation marks count as characters and please note that we cannot engrave emoticons or graphics. Keyboard emojis – (eg <3) – fail miserably with this font, so please don’t include these. These wooden personalised boxes use a very flamboyant font – especially the capital letters, so using all caps lock is not advised; doing so makes the engraving hard to read and means we have to reduce the font-size drastically to get the text on the box lid.

DESCRIPTION

This is a solidly constructed all ply wood box that uses 9mm ply for the sides and 4mm thick ply for the lid and base surfaces.

It has a hinged lid and matching brass coloured clasp.

These boxes are made in England and handcrafted to shape and finished and detailed by hand in our Bucks workshop.

External dimensions: 34.5cm x 20cm x 10cm

We aim to make our boxes look like they hark from gentler times and have already lived a useful life. If nostalgia is more your vibe than pristine and new, you’ll love this look too. We achieve it by doing all the shaping, crafting and finishing by hand and celebrating the imperfections (tiny holes, scratches, patches and marks) as character. They are what makes our utilitarian style boxes so distinctive.

The v-carved gift personalisation text will be “whitened” using our special craft skills to make a spectacular contrast between their name and the box wood.

Please note that the precise finished colour and grain of your personalised box will be unique to the wood used. But, don’t worry – we never send anything out we wouldn’t love to receive ourselves.

UPGRADE

Customise your keepsake storage further by upgrading the interior with a funky fabric base lining. For a modest extra charge, we will custom fit a soft cushioned pad in the felt colour of your choice. This looks amazing and protects delicate treasures kept inside.

You cannot say so much on the front of the box, which is why we give customers who have more to say the chance to write something underneath. You can add an extra personal missive in the bottom right hand corner of the underside of your custom box for a small extra charge. This is engraved.

HOW TO ORDER:

Please fill in the name personalisation field as you add this item to your basket. This text will be engraved on to the front of the box (like Bethany shown in the images). Remember: keep it short and sweet and avoid all caps text.

You must ensure this personalisation is correct before you submit your order. It is really difficult for us to make changes once your order has been placed and we cannot guarantee corrections will reach us before your box is made.

Choose any upgrades and complete the necessary details – once again, checking text spelling and grammar carefully.

Once we receive your order, we work quickly to meet our objective of posting your box within one full working day (Monday to Friday).

Our free standard delivery uses the 48 hour (not guaranteed) service by Royal Mail. The vast majority of customers then receive their order within 2-3 days, but sometimes it can take longer. For more time critical orders we have a next day service available which will be sent within 1 business day via Royal Mail Special Delivery.
